Middlesex County: Using Anger Management to Secure PTI & Diversion

Facing charges in New Brunswick or Edison? You may be eligible to avoid a criminal record entirely through diversionary programs. We provide the required counseling to get you accepted.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office offers alternatives to incarceration for first-time offenders, such as Pre-Trial Intervention (PTI). However, admission is competitive. Applicants must demonstrate that they are addressing the root cause of their offense.

For charges involving Simple Assault, Harassment, or Disorderly Conduct, voluntarily enrolling in our Private Anger Management Course provides the “behavioral modification” evidence that prosecutors look for when reviewing PTI applications.

Municipal Court: Conditional Dismissal

In local courts like New Brunswick Municipal Court and Edison Municipal Court, defendants with no prior record may apply for a Conditional Dismissal. This program places you on probation for one year. If you stay out of trouble and complete specific conditions—often including Anger Management—the charges are dismissed.

We work closely with your Middlesex County criminal defense attorney to ensure you have your Enrollment Letter ready before you appear in court, significantly increasing your chances of acceptance.

Fast-Track Your Application

Don’t delay your acceptance into PTI due to waitlists. We offer immediate intake and enrollment letters.
