Founder & Executive Director

“I’ve spent my career in two worlds — courtrooms and business — and both taught me the same thing: one uncontrolled moment can undo years of good work. I built this practice for the person in that moment.”

Why I Do This Work

For more than fifteen years, I practiced law in New Jersey — criminal defense and divorce and family law, in courtrooms across this state. I stood next to people on the worst days of their lives: good people, working people, parents — facing a charge, a restraining order, a custody fight, most often because of a single moment they would give anything to take back.

And over those years, I watched something that frustrated me case after case: what happened to my clients AFTER the courtroom. They’d be ordered into anger management — and then get lost. Group classes that taught them nothing. Programs with waitlists that blew through court deadlines. Paperwork so sloppy that judges questioned it. I watched people’s cases get worse not because they refused to change, but because the programs meant to help them were built for the provider’s convenience instead of the client’s success.

So I built the program I always wished I could send my own clients to. Private, one-on-one — never a group. Documentation written the way courts expect, by someone who spent a career reading what courts accept. Scheduling built around real lives — days, nights, weekends. And a standard I refuse to compromise: every client finishes, every document gets accepted, every person leaves genuinely better than they arrived. That’s not marketing. That’s the whole reason this practice exists.

Three Kinds of Experience, One Practice
⚖️

The Legal Experience

15+ years in New Jersey criminal defense and divorce and family law. I know what courts require, what judges respect, and what makes documentation accepted the first time — because I spent my career on the other side of it.

💼

The Business Experience

15+ years in business operations as an executive — from Wall Street to insurance to leading seminars for professionals. When I work with employers and working clients, I understand deadlines, pressure, and what it takes to protect a career.

👨‍👧

The Human Experience

I’m a father. I grew up in an Italian immigrant household built around a family business. I know what’s actually at stake when a family is in conflict — and that behind every case number is a person trying to hold their life together.

“Extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about his clients.” — Five-Star Google Review
Training & Credentials

I hold a law degree from Rutgers School of Law — admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2010 — and an Anger Management Specialist Certification, with clinical training in the methods our program is built on — cognitive behavioral and rational emotive behavior techniques — along with formal mediation training and years of experience resolving conflicts between people who couldn’t do it alone. Every session in this practice is conducted personally by me: one-on-one, in English or Spanish, live by video or in person by appointment at our Jersey City office.

Why I Do This Work

I’m Not Teaching You Something
I Read About. I’m Teaching You
Something I Carry.

I’m a red-blooded Italian American man from New York, born and raised blue collar. I’m not going to pretend I found this work in a textbook, sitting outside of it, studying it like some clinical specimen. Anger runs through me. It always has. It’s in my blood, my family, the way I was raised, the way I love people hard and get loud when something matters to me. I know exactly what a temper feels like when it wants to take the wheel — because I’ve felt it grab the wheel myself, more than once in my life.

That’s the difference between me and a lot of people doing this work. I’m not lecturing you from a safe distance. I use every single tool I teach you — every single day. The Recording Rule. The 90-second rule. Strategic withdrawal. Catching the trigger before it catches me. This isn’t theory I picked up in a certification course and started reciting. It’s how I actually run my life, my relationships, my business, my mornings when something goes sideways before 9am.

I worked for everything I have. Nobody handed me a law degree — I earned my way from a blue-collar upbringing to Rutgers Law, and then spent fifteen-plus years as a criminal defense attorney and a Jersey City public defender. I stood next to people in courtrooms in the worst thirty seconds of their lives — after the anger had already won. I got good at defending the aftermath. But I was tired of only meeting people after the damage was done.

Something changed when I moved from law into this work full-time. I feel it every single week — the difference between winning a case and watching someone actually change. There’s research on this, if you care about the science of it: helping someone in a real, visible way lights up the reward centers of your own brain, lowers your own stress and blood pressure, does for you almost what it does for them. I don’t need a study to tell me that. I feel it every time a client texts me eight weeks in and says their kid isn’t scared of them anymore, or their wife noticed, or they walked away from something that would’ve ended in handcuffs a year ago. That feeling is the whole reason I rebuilt this practice from nothing.

I also believe — deeply, not as a slogan — in forgiveness. Not forgetting. Not excusing. Forgiveness as a tool you use on purpose, because holding onto resentment doesn’t punish the person who wronged you — it just keeps your own blood pressure up and your own nervous system in fight mode. I teach that to my clients because I practice it myself. Letting go of a grudge isn’t weakness. It’s one of the most disciplined, powerful things a person can do — and I’ve watched it change people’s health, their relationships, their whole outlook, including my own.

This isn’t a job I clock into. It’s not a script I run. I believe in what I teach because I’ve lived every piece of it — the temper, the courtroom, the fallout, and the work it takes to become the calmer version of yourself on the other side. When you sit down with me, you’re not getting a facilitator reading from a curriculum. You’re getting someone who knows exactly what’s running through you, because it runs through me too — and who’s spent his whole career, first as a lawyer and now as your specialist, standing right next to people in the moment it matters most.

What I Promise Every Client

  • You work with me — personally. Every session, every lesson, every document. No junior staff, no call centers, no handoffs.
  • Never a group. You will not discuss your life in a room of strangers. Everything is private, one-on-one, and confidential.
  • Your documents will be accepted. Not one enrollment or completion letter I’ve issued has ever been rejected by any court — and I stand behind that with a written guarantee.
  • Your deadline is my deadline. If I accept you into the program, you finish in time for your court date. I don’t take clients whose timelines I can’t meet.
  • You’ll leave genuinely better. Custom lessons built for your exact situation — because a certificate means little if the problem comes home with you.
“The 8 hour course was exactly what I needed — professional from start to finish.” — Recent Five-Star Google Review

If you’re reading this the night before you call, know this: I’ve sat across from hundreds of people in your exact seat — the court letter on the table, the knot in the stomach, the fear that this one moment now defines you. It doesn’t. You are not the worst thing that happened to you. Text me your name, and let’s fix this — starting today.
