A DV Program for Your New Jersey Custody Case — Before Anyone Orders It
When allegations enter a custody case, the parent who acted first reads differently than the parent who waited to be ordered.
Why Parents Enroll Voluntarily
Domestic violence allegations — proven, disputed, or somewhere in between — change the center of
gravity of a New Jersey custody case. Best-interest evaluators ask about them. Judges weigh them under the custody
statute. And every parent in that position faces the same choice: dispute everything and offer nothing, or address
the allegation head-on while the case is still being shaped.
Voluntary enrollment in a serious program is the second path. It does not admit anything — it demonstrates
something: that you heard the concern and did six months of documented work. When the evaluator asks what you have
done since the incident, “I completed a 26-week domestic violence intervention program — here is the
letter” is an answer. Silence is also an answer.
Founded by Someone Who Sat in Your Chair
The program’s founder went through his own contested custody case in family court at age 24 — before
law school, before 15+ years practicing family law, before founding this program. The documentation, the pacing,
and the way the Completion Letter is written all come from knowing what it feels like to be the litigant, not just
counsel. Talk to your attorney about timing and strategy; when the decision is to act, this program is built to be
the thing you can point to.
🔐 Identity-Verified Completion
Every enrollee provides a copy of a state or national ID at intake and verifies identity with each weekly
submission. When your probation officer or the court asks who actually did the work, the answer is documented
26 times over. This is the standard online programs should have been held to all along — ours is.

Founded by a Retired New Jersey Family & Criminal Law Attorney
The program was founded by Santo V. Artusa, Jr., J.D., C.A.M.T. — a retired New Jersey
family law and criminal law attorney and clinician executive with more than 15 years inside the same courts
this program serves, including years as a public defender in Jersey City. He has sat at counsel table for the
restraining order hearing, the plea cutoff, and the probation review. That is why the documentation is written
the way courts actually read it — and why lawyers and litigants trust it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does enrolling voluntarily admit the allegations?
Enrollment is not an admission — it is documented effort. How enrollment is presented in your case is a strategy question for your attorney; many family lawyers prefer a client who acted over one who waited.
Should I enroll before or after the custody evaluation?
Earlier is almost always stronger — weeks of completed modules and assignments before the evaluation gives the evaluator something concrete. But timing is case-specific: ask your attorney, and when you’re ready, enrollment takes one day.
Will my court or probation officer accept this program?
The program is accepted by courts and probation departments in New Jersey, and has been used to satisfy court requirements in New York and Pennsylvania. Every order is different — send us your paperwork or your probation officer’s contact information and we confirm acceptance before you enroll.
How much does the program cost?
$1,000 paid in full. Payment plans: $300 down plus 3 payments of $300 ($1,200 total), or $150 down plus 6 payments of $215 ($1,440 total). Payments auto-charge every 4 weeks, and program access pauses if a payment is more than 3 days past due.
Is the program really online? How does that satisfy a court order?
Weekly modules and written assignments are completed online on your schedule; intake, mid-program, and discharge sessions are live individual video sessions with program staff. Identity is verified at intake and with every weekly submission, and your court or probation officer receives an enrollment letter within 24 hours and status reports on request.
