Domestic Violence Intervention Program — New Jersey
A 26-Week Batterers Intervention & Accountability Program. Court-ready documentation, identity-verified completion, no waitlist — enroll today, start this week.
What the Program Is
The Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) is a structured 26-week batterers
intervention and accountability program delivered in a modern format built for people who work,
parent, and cannot spend six months in a crowded daytime group:
- 26 weekly psychoeducational modules — one unlocks each week; no skipping ahead, no cramming. The program takes 26 real weeks, which is exactly what your order contemplates.
- A written accountability assignment every week, submitted and reviewed — a dated record of engagement for all 26 weeks.
- Live individual sessions with program staff — an intake assessment to begin, a mid-program review, and a discharge evaluation to complete, all by secure video.
- Identity verification at intake and with every weekly submission, so the court knows the person who completed the work is the person named in the order.
- Full documentation — an enrollment letter for your court or probation officer within 24 hours of enrolling, status reports on request, and on completion both a Certificate of Completion and a detailed Completion Letter issued under Behavioral Concepts and Advancement.
The curriculum addresses accountability, power and control, belief systems that support abusive behavior,
the effects of domestic violence on partners and children, communication, and relapse-prevention planning
— the content courts expect from a domestic violence program, not a repackaged anger management class.
Who This Program Serves
- A condition of probation — enrollment letters to your PO in 24 hours, status reports on request.
- A Final Restraining Order condition — and building the record that matters years later.
- A plea, PTI, or conditional dismissal condition — including proactive enrollment before sentencing.
- Civil restraints compliance — honoring the consent order in your family case.
- Voluntary enrollment in a custody case — acting before anyone orders it.
- DCPP-related requirements — screened honestly before you spend a dollar.

🔐 Identity-Verified Completion
Every enrollee provides a copy of a state or national ID at intake and verifies identity with each weekly
submission. When your probation officer or the court asks who actually did the work, the answer is documented
26 times over. This is the standard online programs should have been held to all along — ours is.

Founded by a Retired New Jersey Family & Criminal Law Attorney
The program was founded by Santo V. Artusa, Jr., J.D., C.A.M.T. — a retired New Jersey
family law and criminal law attorney and clinician executive with more than 15 years inside the same courts
this program serves, including years as a public defender in Jersey City. He has sat at counsel table for the
restraining order hearing, the plea cutoff, and the probation review. That is why the documentation is written
the way courts actually read it — and why lawyers and litigants trust it.
