Will a New Jersey Court Accept an Online DV Program? The Straight Answer
Most won’t accept a certificate mill. Here is what they will accept — and why this program was built the way it was.
The Real Rule in New Jersey
New Jersey does not publish a statewide list of approved domestic violence program providers for court-ordered
defendants (DCPP cases, which run on their own referral networks, are the usual exception). Court orders typically
say “attend a domestic violence program” or “complete batterers intervention” and leave the
provider open. Acceptance is therefore practical, not statutory: does the judge or probation officer reviewing your
documentation believe a real program was really completed?
That is where most online programs die. A certificate issued the same afternoon it was purchased, with no
verification of who sat through the videos, convinces no one — and some courts and probation officers have
learned to reject exactly that. We built this program to be the opposite of that product:
- 26 actual weeks. Modules unlock one per week. The program cannot be completed in a weekend
because the order didn’t contemplate a weekend. - A dated written assignment all 26 weeks — a paper trail of engagement no video-only
course produces. - Live individual sessions — intake assessment, mid-program review, discharge evaluation
— with program staff, by video. - Identity verified at intake and with every weekly submission. The person completing the work
is provably the person on the order. - Documentation that answers questions before they’re asked — enrollment letter in
24 hours, status reports on request, and a detailed Completion Letter, not a bare certificate.
And When a Particular Court Wants Something Else
A small number of courts and supervising agencies prefer in-person or specific local programs — that is
their prerogative, and the way to find out is before you pay anyone. Send us your order or your probation
officer’s contact information and we confirm acceptance first. If our program isn’t the fit, we tell
you — we would rather lose an enrollment than issue paper that doesn’t serve you.
🔐 Identity-Verified Completion
Every enrollee provides a copy of a state or national ID at intake and verifies identity with each weekly
submission. When your probation officer or the court asks who actually did the work, the answer is documented
26 times over. This is the standard online programs should have been held to all along — ours is.

Founded by a Retired New Jersey Family & Criminal Law Attorney
The program was founded by Santo V. Artusa, Jr., J.D., C.A.M.T. — a retired New Jersey
family law and criminal law attorney and clinician executive with more than 15 years inside the same courts
this program serves, including years as a public defender in Jersey City. He has sat at counsel table for the
restraining order hearing, the plea cutoff, and the probation review. That is why the documentation is written
the way courts actually read it — and why lawyers and litigants trust it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some courts reject online DV certificates?
Because many online products are certificate mills — pay today, certificate today, no proof of who did anything. Courts reject the abuse, not the format. A 26-week, identity-verified, assignment-documented program with live sessions is a different product, and it is documented like one.
Can you guarantee my specific judge will accept it?
No honest provider can guarantee what an independent judge will do — which is exactly why we confirm with your court or probation officer before you enroll, so you never pay for paper that won’t serve you.
Will my court or probation officer accept this program?
The program is accepted by courts and probation departments in New Jersey, and has been used to satisfy court requirements in New York and Pennsylvania. Every order is different — send us your paperwork or your probation officer’s contact information and we confirm acceptance before you enroll.
How much does the program cost?
$1,000 paid in full. Payment plans: $300 down plus 3 payments of $300 ($1,200 total), or $150 down plus 6 payments of $215 ($1,440 total). Payments auto-charge every 4 weeks, and program access pauses if a payment is more than 3 days past due.
Is the program really online? How does that satisfy a court order?
Weekly modules and written assignments are completed online on your schedule; intake, mid-program, and discharge sessions are live individual video sessions with program staff. Identity is verified at intake and with every weekly submission, and your court or probation officer receives an enrollment letter within 24 hours and status reports on request.
