DV Programs and DCPP (DYFS) Cases in New Jersey: Read This First

ATTORNEY-FOUNDED  •  COURT-ACCEPTED  •  IDENTITY-VERIFIED

DCPP cases are different. We screen every DCPP-related enrollment before taking your money — here’s the honest picture.

Accepted by courts and probation departments in New Jersey — and used to satisfy court requirements in New York and Pennsylvania.

The Honest Answer About DCPP

Most New Jersey court orders requiring a domestic violence program leave the provider choice open — and
our program is accepted by courts and probation departments on that basis. DCPP cases are the main
exception.
When the Division of Child Protection and Permanency builds a service plan, caseworkers often
refer parents to specific contracted providers, and some Deputy Attorneys General and Law Guardians take the
position that only those referrals count. Sometimes the service plan is flexible; sometimes it is not.

So here is our rule, and it protects you: if your DV program requirement comes from a DCPP service
plan, FN docket litigation, or a Title 9/Title 30 case, we confirm with your caseworker or your attorney before
you enroll.
Send us the service plan or your caseworker’s contact information. If our program fits,
you enroll knowing it counts. If DCPP insists on their contracted provider, we tell you that — before you
have spent a dollar, not at your compliance review.

Where Our Program Does Fit in DCPP-Adjacent Situations

  • Supplementing the service plan — parents who want to show the Division and the court
effort beyond the minimum, especially before a permanency hearing.
  • When the plan says “domestic violence services” generically and the caseworker
confirms an outside program is acceptable — we get that confirmation in writing.
  • Parallel family-court obligations — when a custody or FRO matter runs alongside the
DCPP case and carries its own program condition.

🔐 Identity-Verified Completion

Every enrollee provides a copy of a state or national ID at intake and verifies identity with each weekly
submission. When your probation officer or the court asks who actually did the work, the answer is documented
26 times over. This is the standard online programs should have been held to all along — ours is.

Founded by a Retired New Jersey Family & Criminal Law Attorney

The program was founded by Santo V. Artusa, Jr., J.D., C.A.M.T. — a retired New Jersey
family law and criminal law attorney and clinician executive with more than 15 years inside the same courts
this program serves, including years as a public defender in Jersey City. He has sat at counsel table for the
restraining order hearing, the plea cutoff, and the probation review. That is why the documentation is written
the way courts actually read it — and why lawyers and litigants trust it.

Frequently Asked Questions

DCPP gave me a list of providers. Can I use your program instead?

Maybe — it depends on your caseworker and the service plan. We confirm before you enroll, in writing. If the answer is no, we tell you no.

Why are you telling me this instead of just enrolling me?

Because a program that doesn’t count is worse than no program — it costs you money and time you don’t have in a DCPP timeline. We would rather screen you honestly today and earn the enrollment that actually helps your case.

Will my court or probation officer accept this program?

The program is accepted by courts and probation departments in New Jersey, and has been used to satisfy court requirements in New York and Pennsylvania. Every order is different — send us your paperwork or your probation officer’s contact information and we confirm acceptance before you enroll.

How much does the program cost?

$1,000 paid in full. Payment plans: $300 down plus 3 payments of $300 ($1,200 total), or $150 down plus 6 payments of $215 ($1,440 total). Payments auto-charge every 4 weeks, and program access pauses if a payment is more than 3 days past due.

Is the program really online? How does that satisfy a court order?

Weekly modules and written assignments are completed online on your schedule; intake, mid-program, and discharge sessions are live individual video sessions with program staff. Identity is verified at intake and with every weekly submission, and your court or probation officer receives an enrollment letter within 24 hours and status reports on request.
