Anger Management for Inner Strength, Prevention, and Advancement — Private, One on One, With Someone Who Has Actually Lived It
Most anger management exists to satisfy a court. Behavioral Concepts and Advancement exists to satisfy you: the person who has noticed what anger is costing — a marriage, a relationship with the kids, a career, health, self-respect — and decided to get ahead of it. You work directly with our executive director, an anger management clinician who is also a retired New Jersey family and criminal law attorney, an entrepreneur, a native New Yorker and son of immigrants who came from nothing to something, and a divorced father who rebuilt — not a one-dimensional therapist who will not speak straight. He writes lessons customized to your life, meets you one on one seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., stays a text away between sessions, and focuses on the anger and on moving forward — acknowledging the past without living in it. No insurance. No waiting. No judgment. Text ENROLL to 201-205-3201.

Anger Management for Yourself — Quick Answer
Quick answer: Behavioral Concepts and Advancement is private, one-on-one anger management for people who choose it. After an assessment you choose 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or more customized lessons paired with one-on-one sessions, set after an assessment. Sessions are 35 to 65 minutes with our executive director, by Zoom or phone, seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, appointments outside those hours by arrangement, no more than two a week so the teachings resonate, and he is available by text between sessions. The approach is two-fold — custom lessons for what you are dealing with, and tools for the anger attached to it — focused on anger and moving forward, not on reliving the past. No insurance, no waiting, no judgment. Documentation for work or court is available whenever you need it. Text ENROLL to 201-205-3201.

Who you will be working with
For anyone choosing anger management for themselves, every session is with our executive director — not a rotating staff member, not a group facilitator. He is an anger management clinician and a retired New Jersey family and criminal law attorney: a former public defender, a family mediator named to Best Lawyers in America, a man who spent fifteen years beside people at the worst moments of their lives in courtrooms across the state. He is also an entrepreneur who built a company from nothing, a native New Yorker and New Jersey transplant, the son of immigrants who started with less than nothing, and a father of two who went through a divorce after seventeen years of marriage and rebuilt his life and his relationship with his children. He does not read from a manual. He does not speak in clinical hedges. He does not judge — there is nothing about anyone choosing anger management for themselves he has not heard in court or lived himself. He speaks straight, and he focuses on what you can change.
The Two-Fold Approach: Custom Lessons for Your Life, Tools for Your Anger
Two things happen in this program, on purpose. One: after the director assesses your situation, you get lessons written for you — not a generic workbook. If your anger lives in your marriage, the lessons are about your marriage; if it lives at work, they are about work; if it is attached to a divorce, a layoff, or a father you are trying not to become, that is what they address. Two: you get tools to manage the anger in the moment — practical, repeatable, grounded in REBT and CBT — and you practice them one on one until they are yours. Sessions run 35 to 65 minutes depending on the topics covered, the issues you bring, the number of sessions in your program, and the time between them; we hold it to no more than two a week so what you learn has time to land.
Custom lessons — what you are dealing with
- Written by the director after your assessment, for your situation
- The marriage, the kids, the job, the divorce, the family you came from
- Worked through between sessions, on your schedule
- Grounded in REBT and CBT, written in plain English
Tools — the anger attached to it
- The interval between the trigger and the response
- Scripts for the moment you would otherwise escalate
- How to leave, how to reset, how to come back
- Practiced one on one until they are yours
The Benefits of Anger Management — When You Do It for Yourself
What the anger is usually attached to
The anger is the loudest thing; it is rarely the first. Part of every program is naming what it is riding on, and the lessons are written around exactly that.
Prevention Tools You Will Leave With
Not therapy. Not the past. Not a group. We acknowledge where the anger came from and we discuss it, but we do not spend months there. The focus is anger: how it works in your body and your judgment, where it shows up in your life, what it is attached to, and how to move forward with a better perspective and real tools to manage the emotions that can otherwise run your life. Psychoeducational, not psychotherapy; if you need clinical treatment, we will say so plainly.
From the Text to the First Session
- Text ENROLL to 201-205-3201. Tell us, in a sentence, what the anger is costing you. A person answers — usually the director.
- Assessment this week. Thirty-five to sixty-five minutes, one on one, by Zoom or phone, seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. Together you choose 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or more customized lessons paired with one-on-one sessions, set after an assessment.
- Your custom lessons arrive between sessions, written for your life; you work through them on your schedule.
- One-on-one sessions, no more than two a week, where the lessons and the week’s events meet the tools — and where the director tells you plainly what he sees.
- Text access between sessions during normal hours, and documentation at the end if you ever need it for work or court.
Getting back to work, back to court, or back on track: the same program provides enrollment and completion documentation whenever it is needed — an enrollment letter the same day, progress reports, and a Certificate of Completion plus a Completion Letter from a retired attorney that employers, licensing boards, and courts accept — under Behavioral Concepts and Advancement or New Jersey Anger Management Group. For court-ordered and family-court matters specifically, see Anger Management Solutions for Family Court.
This Is a No Judgment Zone
Choosing anger management for yourself takes more nerve than being ordered into it, and you will not be met with a raised eyebrow here. For anyone choosing anger management for themselves, the first session starts with what is actually happening, in your words, to someone who has heard every version of it in a courtroom and lived a few himself. Discreet, direct, and on your side.
